DIY PIT CART

Building your own pit cart is a large project that requires careful planning to avoid wasting metal. These build files provide the exact measurements and parts lists used by FDF RaceShop to create the Pit Cart. Build Details

The project uses a mix of tube and laser-cut sheet metal. All sheet metal parts are designed with slot and tab features for easy assembly and welding, and we also made sure you can use E-Track equipment all over the cart for easy tie downs.

Building Advice

To make sure the cart is straight and rolls true, squaring should be done using corner-to-corner measurements (Included in the build guide) You should not rely only on a speed square or carpenter's square for a project of this size. Using these files ensures that your tow tube and steering bars are positioned correctly for the best alignment. For the best results, it is recommended to bolt down features before welding to keep everything square and aligned.
