Mounting it here has relocated the steering rack 4.75” back and 5.5” down. A dramatic move but a very necessary one, as the factory C6 racks are in front of the engine's crank pulley. The factory rack is compromised at high angle and will often result in wrecking the rack's seals within a year of competitive driving. This kit resolves this problem by aligning the forces and keeping them linear with the steering rack. The steering rack relocation comes with a rack adaptor to connect it to the factory steering column. The only modification required is that the left side header will need to be custom-made or modified to clear the new steering wheel shaft location. Keep this in mind when considering this angle kit.
