The FDF E36 Quick change mount is designed for the customer to weld in. Using reference points on the subframe that are easily identified, the brackets adhere to the contours of the subframe for easy installation. The material used is a high strength alloy steel that is 3/16 (5mm) thick. The weld process these are designed for is mig or tig.

The design also features a "bolt in front flange" for easily replacing the lower shaft without removing the diff from the car, and for easy installation to the subframe. 

The brackets will be shipped tack welded together using our jig, and ready to weld once recieved.

 The Mantis Kit for the BMW is the most relevant angle kit in today's drift society, and here's why:

-Angle, 65+ degrees depending on wheel size and arm length

-Ackerman, zero, plus 2 and plus 4 degrees ackerman available as options.

To understand ackerman, with plus 2 degrees of ackerman, your lead wheel would be at 70* and your trail wheel would be at 66*. that is 2 degrees per side resulting in a 4 degree overall difference at full lock. same applies for the 4 degree option.

Caster plates - these will relocate the strut further outward on the strut tower. maintaining the factory KPI angle and slightly reducing the caster. the BMW chassis has very high caster/kpi values from factory. These caster plates should only be added if you are running the mega mantis kit.

Tierod Upgrade- these replace the factory inner tierod with a shackle and heim joint. it is more durable and will last longer than the factory socket style. 

Sway bar link - these will come with an adaptor bracket and adjustable links to connect your mantis kit to any sway bar (OEM or after market) 

*If you have an E36-M3 please choose the E36-M3 product, the knuckles are different to suit the M3 calipers and rotors.

 We have analyzed the BMW E36/E46 chassis after years of data and designed some much needed high strength, long-lasting parts. 

The tierod upgrade uses only Chromoly, and 7075 aluminum to make up its construction. what does it do? and why do you need it? 

What it does is gets rid of your OEM socket ball joint inner, and replaces it with a Chromoly adaptor that allows you to use a high strength rod end. These rod ends have an extremely long life, especially when used in an inner tierod application. The best part is when it does need to be replaced, it is only a $17US part. 

Why you might need these is because the additional load applied to the inner tierod vastly exceeds the designed load intended while drifting. This wears the socket out quickly, causing you to need replacements often and affects your alignment over time as they wear out. Our design can be adapted to any angle kit, FDF, wisefab, SLR, and be used in conjunction to improve the handling and longevity of your angle kit and tierods.

Without outer Heim joint  - Choose this option for FDF or SLR kits

With outer Heim joints - Choose this option if you are adapting these tierods to a custom kit, or to wisefab. 

the outer tierod is a Left hand 5/8-18, and this joint can be adapted to any kit with a different set of spacers. if you have questions, send us and email and we will get right back to you!

The BMW E36/E46 FDF Arms feature a billet shackle design, with a jackscrew adjustment on the knuckle side of the arm. why is this important?

The BMW rear subframe does not allow for a wrench to get inside and tighten any kind of jam nut, so moving the adjustment outward was the only solution. The arms were designed for grip in mind, being able to adjust your camber to 0 and + figures are easily done with these arms, to get the most grip and even tire wear possible.

 This product will include 

1 left and 1 right rear lower control arm. The upper control arms can be purchased separately.

Our BMW E36/46 rear upper control arms are the perfect choice for your Chassis, features include

The E46 chassis has a fantastic front suspension design that allows for high angle clearance, the perfect steering rack location and easy to work on suspension. But, one of the downsides is the single shear subframe mount.

Angle kits have extended control arms, which increase the leverage on the mount and can cause failures in the subframe and in the ball joint stud. Using this brace will create a double shear mount which triples the strength of the mounting area and prevents the fatigue from occurring. So, even in the event of an accident, this brace will help focus the energy on the suspension arms instead of on the subframe. 

This brace includes all hardware required to install, and fits SLR, wisefab and FDF angle kits. This brace does not work with any factory control arms or any angle kits that use factory ball joints.

The Mantis Kit for the BMW E8x and E9x is the most relevant angle kit in today's drift society, keeping cost in mind without sacrificing quality or performance. The FDF kit is the first utilizing the factory knuckle and its strut, caliper and bearing mounts, while attaching the lower half to the FDF adaptor to get the perfect geometry, adjustment and bump stops.

FDF's rear toe arm allow you to achieve correct rear toe on your car. The factory BMW suspension has a very aggressive camber gain through compression - this is extremely noticeable when lowered. FDF's rear arms also eliminate deflection found in the stock bushings. Instead of using rubber, FDF uses 3/4" Teflon lined rod ends.

FDF's rear control arms allow you to achieve correct rear camber and toe on your car. The factory BMW suspension has a very aggressive camber gain through compression - this is extremely noticeable when lowered. When you lower your vehicle, it naturally adds more camber - these upper arms allow you to correct that rear camber to give you more grip. FDF's rear arms also eliminate deflection found in the stock bushings. Instead of using rubber, FDF uses 3/4" Teflon lined rod ends.

Ball Bearing FDF Handbrake

The new design features 2 press in ball bearings for an instant lock and zero slop design, fixing the unstable feel you get with almost every handbrake available.

The handle itself is 18" tall, and features 2 aluminum plates that bolt on the outside using stainless steel button head bolts for a clean look. The plates will come raw finish, as well as the main body.
